Hello all! It’s been a couple weeks, but don’t worry - I haven’t forgotten you! I took a much needed break but am back and feeling refreshed! I guess you could say it was the 30+ year old version of “spring break”—social media detox, no alcohol, lots of sleep and fresh vegetables. My ~20 year old self would think I was lame, but my current self feels really good about it.
It seems like a lot has happened recently though! NFTs seem to be all anyone can talk about and with Coinbase’s recent IPO, crypto is a common conversation starter.

♫ Walter Isaacson, who recently wrote a new book about CRISPR, is really making the rounds for his book tour… but I can’t complain. Every episode I listen to with him is fascinating. He was on Armchair Expert and Alan Alda’s podcast recently.
Etc.
♫ One of the best interviews I’ve heard in a long time, Daniel Goleman talks about emotional intelligence, the importance of it, and to develop it like a muscle. (I have to admit that I have not read his book but after this interview, maybe I should add it to the list…)
♫ Legally Blonde turns 20
♫ Unspooled covers A League of Their Own
♫ Palestinian cook and writer Reem Kassis
♫ Merry Clayton who sang on the Rolling Stones “Gimme Shelter” releases new album
♫ I recently discovered Alan Alda’s podcast thanks to the recommendation of a friend. I’ve found some great episodes so far: Deborah Tannen (Professor @ Georgetown), Conan O’Brien, and Laura Linney
